Parting ways is a reality that stares at you many times in life. Some times its for good and most times its for bad. Today I decided to part ways with my current employer. It was neither good nor bad. My new company Wipro wants me to join as soon as I can - by Sept 1, 2008. The irony is that I have been talking to business people, HR of wipro, I have sent my updated resume to Business Head for a project recommendation, I even have CONFIRMATION for initial 1 week accommodation booked at Wipro guest house in Bangalore... BUT... I have not been sent my offer letter! In fact I have just mailed the documents based on which HR would issue the offer letter. Seems offer letter and other formalities are least of somebody's concerns (poor me used to think so high of the letter itself).
Its fun these days. Lot of issues to be settled with both companies, but yes now there is something better to do than just couriering welcome kits to New customers and closing the accounts of poor people.
Lets see now what designation gets mentioned on my Visiting card. Is it "Consultant"?
